Bemidji Chapter

The Bemidji Game fair and Pet expo was a huge success last year. For our first year we doubled our expectations. We brought over 2000 spectators through the front gate and registered over 400 dogs. The dock dogs competition brought in 65 of those dogs and over half were local competitors. Willow Creek Kennels from Little Falls, and Brian Bakken of Bemidji put on some fantastic dog training seminars just to name a couple we had. There were over 250 kids that tried the archery and even more than that tried the air rifle. We are all about getting the children away from the tv's and interested in an outdoor activity and I think we did a fantastic job in igniting that spark. We are always looking for volunteers to help out at our events. The more help we have the more activities we can have. Contact Jim at 218-751-1139.

The Game Fair and Pet Expo was so much fun that we are doing it again this year on June 20,21 2009. This year we are featuring Cabela's sponsored National Qualifier dock dog competition. A north country classic goose and duck calling competition, and Savage arms will bring there newest guns for everyone to try.
